I originally wanted to be Saitama from One Punch Man for Halloween but I just couldn't figure out where I was going to get the costume. So one of the other exchange students, Stefania, suggested I be Popeye and so that's what I chose. I needed to find a place to get a red scarf bandana for his scarf and some clothes pins. So, I ended up biking 30 minutes out of the city to the larger DON QUIXOTE to find them, and I did. On the way back I decided it would be funny if I made a spinach jar, so I stopped at a Fuji supermarket, bought a can of fruit, ate it all, and attached some paper around it.
Later I went to an on campus event for international students ran by ICO (International Coordinators) where we did some costume games, contest, and chatted around. People voted for the best costume, and nobody voted for me (probably cause nobody knew of Popeye).
In Asia, people don't go door-to-door trick or treating but instead meet up in the city center and show off their cosplay (costume-play). After the meeting ended we all went to the German Bar Doitsu Haus and then to the main shopping street. Obviously I'll attach pictures.
