During my seminar class with my study abroad professor Tokuoka, study abroad tutor Rin, and 2 other classmates Kaneko and Ren, we were talking about all kinds of things as usual. Then, it was decided that we would go down to the first floor to investigate the plants outside the faculty building, even though it was raining. We go outside and make sure the plants are doing good, and then our professor grabs some sort of legume plant's pea pods, opens it and takes the beans out, and then blows into it like a whistle. We all try to do the same with varying degrees of success. I was absolutely not able to, but my classmates were, and we all laughed.
Then we went around to the other side of the building to this hedge. This time our professor takes a leaf from it, rolls it up, and blows into it again like a whistle saying that this one is easier. We all do the same and we are 100% successful. Tokuoka-sensei recorded a video of me, which I attached below. We sit there having fun for a little bit.
When we are all done and back in the room, we are back to chatting away, when all of a sudden the professor's office phone rings. We listen intently, and hear that our professor is receiving complaints for causing too much noise and distracting classes. All of us students looked at each other literally with our jaws dropped down to the floor. I think everything was fine, at least I hope.
