After I first met Daimon-san, I thought it would be a good idea to invite some students over for a party. Especially because he likes to entertain foreign guests and have fun. So, I asked him and he said sure, just tell him the date and how many people. I invited six of my classmates.
We all met up and then had the long, 30 minute bike ride to his house from the university. It was nice weather out, but obviously we felt kinda hot due to all of the physical activity. We got there at about 1 PM and everybody introduced themselves. Daimon brought over some friends too, including this little kid. He immediately began barbecuing as I showed my classmates around. We had got there on a very nice day, so we were taking pictures of the scenery.
After we had all eaten, of course the goats had to eat too, so we followed Daimon-san over to their pen and we all got to feed the rambunctious goats. Then we went back to sitting around and chatting. I wrote everyone's name for Daimon and his wife. Eventually, we were ready to go up as two of my classmates Shu-san and Sho-san had to leave. Go up where? You ask. Well, the Daimon-san mountain of course! It's right behind his house and he took me up there last time I visited.
We took the strenuous hike all the way up, and after huffing and puffing we were rewarded with an excellent view of the city. After a while of catching our breath, we headed back down to the house and we just sat around doing more chatting. There was this little kid who was very shy, and I asked him what his name was and if he wanted some Ghiradelli chocolate. He started smiling and looking up at his mom as she was saying "Tell him your name." After a few back-and-forths he did, and I gave him some chocolate. He came back later for more, and we did the same thing but instead of his name it was him asking for chocolate. Nice kid.
After the sun set and it was dark, we were going to go home, but I believe that I had accidentally thrown my bike key in the trash. So it was locked and I couldn't go home. Daimon-san noticed this and pulled out his van to drive me and everyone else back to the dorm. He is so nice.
