I don't exactly remember what day this was, it could have been November 20th.
The moment Pablo, the student from Colombia, and I met we knew we had to go find Mexican food. So that was what we did one night.
The first place we went to was C's Bar Tex-Mex, which was supposedly started by someone who moved here from the US. I ordered a burrito and Pablo ordered something else, but we weren't too into it. So, we decided to go try another one.
The other one was TACOS LOCOS, a very small bar which had only one 5-star review on Google Maps and was located in the red-light district. We got there, I ordered a beef quesadilla, Pablo got chorizo tacos, and we got started. It was really good, and tasted just like something you would get in California but a little less flavor and more expensive. (Everything in it is imported.)
I was quickly able to befriend the owner Ryu-chan, and staff such as Aoi. This place would be a recurring hangout spot for the international students and we would occassionally meet other people there.
