Through the Matsuyama International Center (MIC), you can register to take part in a "My Matsuyama Family" host family experience. The family I was partnered with were the Nose's (No-say). Mr. and Mrs. Nose have three children, Naoki, Tomoki, and Masaki who studies in Osaka. I have a sheet including their ages but that is buried around somewhere. The first day we met, which was November 9th, I biked over to their house and they prepared a dinner for me. I met their very energetic kids, Naoki who is about 11 and always wants to play baseball in the house, and Tomoki who is around 8 or 9 and is a whirl. Everyone is very nice, and Naoki is very eager to learn English and speaks better than the Japanese I spoke at his age. He went to study abroad in Malaysia! Over the course of my time there they would invite me over and we would pretty much do the same thing: eat sushi, play mafia and baseball, and then I would head home. They were very busy and I understood that.
