There was a professor I knew who teaches English at the university. Her name is Imaizumi-sensei, and it turns out that she is a massive fan of Snoopy and the Kobe Hanshin Tigers baseball team.
I needed another class to hit the minimum of 7 classes to study abroad, so I got permission from her to take her class. It was an English language class, so we had a workbook, which was created by her and consisted of some Snoopy comic strips that students had to translate and answer questions on. Obviously this was a piece of cake for me and I did not have problems in any way. Imaizumi-sensei actually gave me a copy of the workbook for free. There was one part in each chapter where you had to translate some of the English into Japanese, and I just could never do that. Luckily, she never called on me to answer homework questions. I was only called on to give insight into some words and phrases. It was interesting when I would be asked about a phrase that was outdated and not used anymore.
On the first day of class I was the first one in the room, and I accidentally went to a different room and was talking to a student. I had to get out of there which was embarrassing. When I got into the room, I was the first student there and I noticed that some students would come into the room, see me, and then leave as if they were in the wrong room. They came back though when they realized it was the right room. That was funny, obviously why would an English-speaker take an English class.
The best part was that two of the English students, Ayumi and Riko were there as well. They sat right behind me. One of the other students was Kaie, a Taiwanese student who I knew well. We talked after class all the time. There was also a student named Kairi who brought in a service dog who was very popular.
On the last day of class I drew a Snoopy on the board. It apparently stayed their for quite some time.
