For this semester, even though I wasn't in band I still wanted to support them. So, I knew that I was going to go watch the"Cheerfully High-Spirit Spring Concert!"
It was held at an old early 20th-century school building on a middle-school campus. I parked my bike and was welcomed in by some of the amazing bandmembers. I found a seat amongst all of the spectators and enjoyed the show.
They played some pieces together, and at the end was a section showcase. The flutes did some Ghibli song, but my favorite was the trumpets who did the 20th Century Fox opening. It caught me so off guard that I was laughing. Later on some of the members went up to the second floor veranda around the top of the room and started playing from there.
When it was over, one of the students who graduated came over to me to say hi. He did percussion and was really good. We chatted about a couple things like what we were doing and said "see ya later!" I think his nickname was "Tachi" or something.
What I didn't notice was that all of the band members had made it around, so as we were leaving they formed a "tunnel" at the exit leading outside. They seemed super glad to see me, and I told the trumpets and flutes that they did really well.
I will include video below.
