So, cooking was kind of a difficult experience for me. Not in the fact that it was hard or anything, but because I had no idea what I could easily make. Pretty quickly I discovered that what could be easily made was curry and "beef stew." What I first tried to make were fajitas. It turned out that my Trader Joes seasoning wasn't enough and because I had no recipe they turned out less than enjoyable. At the beginning of the year, there was a lot of different cookware left out in the hallway. It turned out that I could grab whatever I wanted, and my Mom helped me figure that out. There were actually a wide variety of dinner "kits" that included all the seasoning and broth or whatever and a list of ingredients that were usually pre-bundled together. For example, if I bought a box of curry mix, there would be a shrink-wrapped tray of all of the vegetables I would need for very cheap.
Here is what I made in each image by row:
1) Fajitas? - 2) Golden curry 3) Curry Udon
4) Hokkaido Cream Stew 5) Beef stew 6) Kimchi Nabe Hot Pot
7) Pancakes 8) Pasta 9) Chili
10) Mapo Tofu 11) European(?) Potato Soup 12) Chili
