We all met up at Matsuyama station at around 10:30 and bought our tickets to Hojo Station. We messed around on the train and by 12pm we were set sail for Kashima island.
Our plan for the day was to barbecue and swim. Not much else! We talked and got our barbecue set up. Soyeob got to work grillin' for us, along with a few others. It was good barbecue, especially with the amazing sauce they put in it. I had also prepared some s'mores material for cultural exchange purposes. While others were chatting, Junsei and I had fun catching massive locusts.
After that we all went swimming, well only the boys. The girls either chatted or watched. Haruma, Junsei, and at least a few others and I went to swim. Some of us actually went out pretty far, well, at least to the rope line. What we didn't know about were all of the rocks in the water, so we all kinda got cut up. We went back and changed into dry clothes. From there we just hung around. Eventually a group of little kids came by and were playing "suikawari" where you get spun around and have to smash a watermelon while being blindfolded.
I wandered around to see what everyone else was up to and everyone was kind of just resting.
Then we all met up to start lighting fireworks. Kim absolutely loved it. When we were done, Kim and I were each asked to give a speech, so we did. I need to get the videos from Rino, so just hold on! One of the demerits to using the app, LINE, is that it deletes images and videos after a certain amount of time.
After that it was getting dark out, so we all went to leave. I said "See ya later!" to everyone, and went to get my beloved cheese curry from Kau.
